Current enters agreement with Itron, Inc. to optimize streetlight performance

Greenville, S.C. September 22, 2025 - Current has entered into a joint marketing agreement with Itron, Inc., bringing together the Evolve® Roadway product line from the GLI portfolio and Itron’s management and control technologies, as part of its CityEdge portfolio.

Itron is equipped with a range of solutions that ultimately bring together IoT technologies, real-time data and advanced insights to help utilities and cities achieve their lighting and energy-saving goals.

By combining Current’s high-efficiency LED luminaires with Itron’s intelligent controls, this joint offering empowers cities and utilities to optimize streetlight performance. The ERL and ERN families of fixtures deliver industry-leading lumens per watt, advanced glare control and optical precision to ensure uniform light distribution and improved visibility. When paired with Itron’s intelligent controls as part of the CityEdge portfolio, the Evolve Roadway products help cities to reduce light pollution and improve pedestrian safety.
